Mylodon Cave Natural Monument

It was appointed Natural Monument in 1968. It consists on three caves and a rocky ensemble called “Silla del Diablo” or Devil’s Armchair. The largest cave is 150 ASL and it has 30 meter long, 80 meters wide and 200 meters of depth. Furthermore, there is a path where visitors can access to viewpoints above the largest cave of the Natural Monument, where you will be able to have a panoramic view of the area.

This place is scientifically important because in 1896, bones, furs and remains of a famous disappeared animal, the Mylodon, were discovered. An entrance fee is charged.

Location: 24 Km away from Puerto Natales, Ruta nº9 Norte towards Torres del Paine
