Surprise with processions, festivals and competitions that reveal spirituality and happiness of the inhabitants of the area.

Virgen de Montserrat Procession.
Once a year there is a car procession that starts in Punta Arenas to get to the Sanctuary of Virgen de Montserrat and gathers around 5.000 people that join the religious celebration and take the chance to develop other summer activities like camping, picnic, barbecues, etc…

Location: Rio Verde Village from Punta Arenas Route 9
Date: Second Sunday of January
How to get there: North from Punta Arenas Taking Route 9.
Duration: 1 day

Shearing Festival
It takes place in Villa Tehuelches 100kms. from Punta Arenas, on the third week of January. You can attend and participate of a series of activities like shearing samples, popular games, horseback riding, local singers and traditional regional food. 

Location: 100 kms. north from Punta Arenas (Villa Tehuelches)
How to get there: buses from Punta Arenas
Duration 2 days.

San Gregorio Festival
This folkloric event lasts for 2 days it’s been on for ten years. There are singer and band competitions and the presence of local national and international artists. 

Date: second week of November.
Location: O’Higgins Village 170 kms. from Punta Arenas

San Gregorio Week
It celebrates the anniversary of the County of San Gregorio with several activities for the community and visitors. Activities: Popular games of the field, horseback riding, and others 

Date: Second week of February
