Climbing

Tarn Mount
During the climbing to Mount Tarn beautiful landscapes can be seen, the same that Charles Darwin saw when, on his way through the Strait, disembarked and climbed. There is a spectacular view of Darwin Mountain Range, the impressive Sarmiento Mount and Dawson Island. The mount is 830mys. high. It can be reached from Route 9 south.
Location: 73 kms. south from Punta Arenas, in the Brunswick Peninsula.
How to get there: 70 kms. south on route 9 by car and a walking stretch climbing 3.5kms to the top.
Duration: 1 day (5 hours climbing up and 2,5 hours going down)
