Chabunco River
People are allowed to fish from the mouth of the river up to 2 km. inland. Some of the species the visitor can find are Maroon Trout and Rainbow Trout. The best time of the year is March.
Location: 19 kms. north from Punta Arenas.
Access : Terrestrial transport from Punta Arenas.

Rio Grande
River with a strong flow. Fishing advisable during the high tide. Some species are Rainbow Trout and Robalo. The Fishing season goes from February to March.
Location: Riesco Island 120kms. north from Punta Arenas, Raft Crossing in Rio Verde County.
Access : By land from Punta Arenas

Rio Caleta
Generally full of sticks and branches. Some species that you can find are Maroon and Rainbow Trout. Best fishing months October and March.
Location: 80 kms. Northeast from Punta Arenas, it flows to Otway Sound.
Access: By Land or Sea

Rio Perez
Plenty of vegetation and beautiful landscape surround this river. The best season to visit it is from February to March, among the species you can find are Maroon and Rainbow Trout.
Location: 140kms. north from Punta Arenas, on the road to Rio Verde.

Rio Penitente
Trouts of regular size can be fish in this river, close to it is Rio Penitente Hostel, located in km 130. Here you can find Maroon and Rainbow Trout. Fishing Season open all year.
Location: 150 kms. North from Punta Arenas, on the road to Puerto Natales.
Access: By land.

Rio San Juan
Strong Flow. The visitor will find species of Rainbow (orcorhynchus-mykiss) and Maroon or brown Trout, Stream Trout (Salvelinus Fontinalis) , Fario Trout (SalmoTrutta Fario). It is advisable to carry some tools as light sliding spoons and surface flies. The best time for fishing goes from October to March. There are no hotels nearby.
Location: 70 kms. south from Punta Arenas, Fuerte Bulnes area.
Access: By land from Punta Arenas.
