Hernando de Magallanes Monument
Settled in the Main Square, among the trees of ancient trunks and shortened foliage, emerges the monument to Hernando de Magallanes. Local and foreigners reach the monument to touch or kiss the toe of the aborigine lying at the stone base of the monument; the legend says that if a person does that will come back to the city.
Location Main Square of Punta Arenas. All year available.

El Ovejero Monument (The Shepherd)
This traditional monument adornates Bulnes Avenue, it is one of the best works of the Chilean sculptor Mr. German Montero Carvallo. It is 30 mts. long and shows 12 figures among which predominates the shepherd leading a sheep flock along with his horse and helped by its loyal dog.

Magellan Immigrant Monument
Symbolizes the immigrants whose arrival to this lands took place mainly by the end of the 19th century. It was opened in the year 1970 and its sculptor was the cratian citizen Miodrag Siskovic.
Location: Av Bulnes 14 blocks from Main Square.

Petroleum Monument
This monument was risen to honour the importance of the oil extraction activity for the regional and national development.
