Running the Channels

The entrance to the PATAGONIAN CHANNELS zone is through Messier channel until Puerto Eden (where lives the last people of the natives Chilean Alacalufes), at the east of South Patagonia Ice Fields through the Paso del Indio. Continuing the journey towards the southern zone, you will navigate by the Paso del Indio, Grappler, Wide, Concepcion and Sarmiento channels. In this point, and at your left, is the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park and behind it, the Torres del Paine National Park.

On the way it may be observed the sinking of the Costa mountain chain at the Taitao peninsula, and the breaking up of the Andes mountain chain after the Bernardo O'Higgins, all this accompanied by a jungle vegetation of lengas, coigues and ñirres.
